2 Operations and limitations
First the operational limitations of LT. for all formats...
Format | duplicates | total tickets | states used in
535 as 5 of 35 3 to 4 50 to 2000 Vermont,New hamp.,Maine
630 as 6 of 30 3 to 5 50 to 2000 Vermont
640 as 6 of 40 3 to 5 50 to 4000 vermont,New hamp.,Maine
656 as 6 of 56 3 to 5 50 to 8000 New york
Duplicates : the number of repeated numbers in any ticket as compaired
to all other tickets in current working file.
used to control the randomness of the tickets picked.
Total tickets: The total number of tickets that the Bulid procedure will
make ( smallest and largest ).
states used : the state lotteries that the format is knowen to be used
in ie: format 535 is used the CASH 5 game (VT,NH,ME)
These programs are intended to allow the user to make an orderly group
of random pick in most lotterys haveing a fairly wide picking range ( not many
picks gouped togather ie: allowing 1-2-3-4-5 and disallowing 1-2-3-4-6 becouse
the secound ticket has four duplicates of ticket one ). LT also allows the
user to maintain a manaul ticket list.
The randomness of this program is controled by several things first I
note that the turbo switch on some computers will effect the randomness of
the program and in some cases couse a hang-up or even an indefenite loop.
soo I recomend only slow speeds on your even though this can take more than
hour.
I do have some suggestions as to its use first use three dups this seems
create a good displasement and use only files with good student populations.
The student population within 15% of the total tickets picked and how to read
that report is as follows the number shown in the display is formated by the
calculation is total tickets times number of picks per ticket divided by the
total number to be picked from, In 535 is (( 5 * 2000 ) div 35) soo for a 2000
ticket file should have each number ( 1 - 35 ) bin picked 285 times thous I
subtract 285 from that number as a displacement.
I also suggest that you concider haveing more than one person playing
the same file with you for many people this can mean playing a much larger
ticket file like getting ten people togather to play a thousand ticket file
and dividing up the winnings to all ten ( if any ).
